Logging into the UniFi Controller is pretty simple and it can be done in a few different ways. You can log directly into the IP address, use the hostname supplied by HostiFi at, you can use your own custom domain or even use the Ubiquiti cloud.

How to access the UniFi Controller?

If your UniFi Controller is hosted on a local server or machine, you can log into the IP address directly by using a web browser. This does require you to be on the same network.

If you are using a UniFi server hosted with HostiFi, you can use the URL supplied by us, or even use the IP address. The URL will look like this: ''

What is my password?

If you are using a self-hosted server, the password would have been set during the setup. If you ever connected it to the Ubiquiti Cloud, then you could try your Ubiquiti SSO credentials.

When you sign up for a server with HostiFi, we automatically set up the UniFi controller wizard page for you and we set temporary credentials which can be found at If you ever forget your password, it can be easily reset from the portal.

You can also connect your server to the Ubiquiti Cloud, meaning those credentials can be used to log in.

HostiFi provides hosting for both Ubiquiti and TP-Link software-defined-networking (SDN) applications, with servers for UniFi, UISP and Omada. We also offer professional networking consulting, with HostiFi Pro.
