Enabling 2FA for Ubiquiti SSO

Legacy User Interface

If needed, create an account on Ubiquiti’s website: account.ui.com. Then enable 2FA on account.ui.com. See Ubiquiti's help article for more details.

Next, on your HostiFi controller, enable syncing of your local admin accounts with your ui.com account. This can be done by enabling "Sync Local Admin with Ubiquiti SSO".

First, go to 'Settings'

Next, go to 'Remote Access'

Then, find the toggle for "Sync Local Admin with Ubiquiti SSO".

Enable the toggle

Create an Admin or Super Admin account in UniFi using the same username, email, and password as your UI account

Now, when you log in directly to your UniFi controller web interface, you will be prompted for 2FA.

⚠️ Note: For 2FA to work, you need to login with your ui.com account.
