With UniFi 7.5.187, released in October 2023, Ubiquiti added support for Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSK), allowing more flexibility when using multiple networks and different user groups.
Currently, PPSK only works with WPA2 networks on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. At this time, WPA3 and 6GHz are not yet supported.
If you want fast and reliable UniFi hosting, check out HostiFi with fast support, regular backups, managed updates and prices from just $9 per month.

How to setup PPSK
First open UniFi and go to Settings
Click on the network you wish to add PPSK to
Scroll down to the Advanced section and click to enable PPSK
You can then add new passwords. All users connecting will connect to the same SSID but depending on the password entered, they can be routed to a different VLAN if required.
To check this is working, visit the Clients tab in UniFi. In this example, this iPhone is connected to the Performance SSID but routed to the Guest network running on VLAN 3 using the PPSK feature.
