Sometimes when trying to add a new switch to the TP-Link Omada controller, you might run into an error message that says: "This switch type is inconsistent with the switch type configured for this site" - this is related to the allowed types of switches that are configured for the Omada controller.

What to do about "This switch type is inconsistent with the switch type configured for this site"

Within Omada, each site has its own settings that is accessible from the Global View section. So first, navigate to this page and click Edit on the site which you wish to edit.

Under Switch Type and then enable Easy Managed, this will now allow those switches to be adopted.

Next, try again to adopt the switches within that site and test to see if it works.
