UniFi UXG devices have a default username and password combination which is used when the device is brand new, or in factory default state. If you are adopting the UXG to something like HostiFi and need to SSH in, these are the credentials you would use.

This includes the UXG Lite, UXG Max, UXG Pro and UXG Enterprise.

If you want fast and reliable UniFi hosting, check out HostiFi with fast support, regular backups, managed updates and prices from just $9 per month.

What credentials do I use for UniFi UXG devices?

For UniFi UXGs, the default username and password will be:

Username: root

Password: ubnt

Or it can be:

Username: root

Password: ui

Once adopted into the UniFi Controller, it'll then take the credentials from the UniFi Controller, which can be found under Settings > System > Advanced > Device Authentication.
